Earth in the Future Will Poor Rain
Experts predict the world's climate, Earth will experience
less rainfall in the future due to global warming. This phenomenon is different
from the warming in the past that actually increase rainfall.
In a publication in the journal Nature, scientists reveal
that global warming caused by greenhouse gases from human activities have a
different impact than just warming caused by increased solar radiation.
According to scientists, the difference is caused by
greenhouse gases lead to warming at different atmospheric zones. Reduce
greenhouse gas atmospheric temperature difference antarlapisan. The atmosphere
becomes more stable so that rainfall decreases.
"For the same increase in temperature, the heating due
to solar radiation alone would lead to higher rainfall than greenhouse
gases," said the researchers in a publication in Nature.
"With less rainfall (due to warming because of
greenhouse gases) then it means that on average there is potential for
increased drought," said Wang Bin, a researcher at the International
Pacific Research Center, University of Hawaii, which involved research.
Solar radiation can be increased due to volcanic activity,
label aerosols in the atmosphere, and changes in the Earth's orbit around the
Sun. These results indicate the potential decrease in future rainfall globally,
not locally.
